The Samsung Galaxy M36 smartphone was recently listed on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench, offering brief details about the chipset, RAM, and Android version. While the Korean smartphone brand has yet to announce the launch details of this handset, it is expected to debut as the successor to the Galaxy M35 5G, which was launched in July 2024 with an Exynos 1380 SoC and 8GB of RAM. Samsung launched its M35 phone with Android 14-based One UI 6, and the upcoming M36 5G handset is also expected to launch with an Exynos chipset.

Samsung Galaxy M36 Expected Features

With model number SM-N366B, the purported Samsung Galaxy M36 was listed on Geekbench. The model number indicates that it's the global variant of the handset. It is said to have an octa-core chipset with four performance cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. The handset is anticipated to have an Exynos 1380 SoC, the same as available in the Galaxy M35 5G phone.

A Geekbench listing reveals that the handset will feature an ARM Mali-G68 GPU paired with 6GB of RAM and ship with Android 15-based One UI 7 on top. In terms of performance, the smartphone scored 1,004 and 2,886 points on single-core and multi-core benchmark tests.

As the Samsung Galaxy M35 launched with similar specifications to the Galaxy A35 5G, the upcoming Galaxy M36 is also expected to borrow features from the Galaxy A36 5 G. However, A-series phones from Samsung get the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC.

The Galaxy A36 5G phone also features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection. The rear camera module features a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.

The phone also features an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The handset has secured IP67 certification for dust and water splash resistance and gets a 5000mAh battery pack with 45W wired charging support.

However, the Galaxy A26 5G gets power from the Exynos 1380 SoC, features a 13-megapixel front camera, and supports 25W wired charging.
