Oppo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has officially announced the launch date of the A5 Pro 5G smartphone in India. Along with the launch date, the smartphone brand has also unveiled some specifications, including an IP69-rated build that resists dust and splashes. Oppo A5 Pro 5G was already launched in China last year. It gets a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and a 6000mAh battery.
In a press release on Friday, Oppo confirmed that the Oppo A5 Pro 5G will be officially launched in India on April 24. The handset will have an IP69 rating and a damage-proof 360-degree armor body for drop resistance. Additionally, the handset is expected to have a 200% Network Boost feature to ensure seamless connectivity in challenging environments.
According to sources, the India-spec Oppo A5 Pro will have a 5800mAh battery with 45W charging support. This is slightly smaller than the China-spec variant, which features a 6000mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging.
The China-spec variant of Oppo A5 Pro features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The handset also features an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
The A5 Pro phone features a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calls, the phone will pack a 16-megapixel camera.
This 5G Oppo phone is also sold in other markets, including the UK, with a 5800mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. In China, the Oppo A5 Pro 5G was launched at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs 23,300) for 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
