Carl Pei’s previous launch, Nothing Phone (1), got huge public attention because of its out-of-the-box design concept and transparent back panel. Now the company has launched its successor, featuring almost the same specifications but with some tweaks in design and mobile dimensions.
Previously, the chief executive officer of Nothing Phone unveiled the key specifications of this newest launch, stating it will feature an improved display design and flagship chipset. The phone was also available for pre-order on e-commerce stores like Flipkart.
During the launch, Carl Pei said they are committed to delivering top-end features in their smartphones, enabling users to enjoy intentional smartphone usage with innovative hardware and design solutions.
The second-generation Nothing smartphone boasts a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO display and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. There is Gorilla Glass protection on the front and back side of this mid-range mobile. The company co-founder and CEO also claimed that there is no use of plastic material and users will only find metal and glass components in the smartphone.
Nothing Phone (2) is identical to its predecessor in terms of design. However, it comes with a more refined and tweaked design giving it an aesthetic and sleek look. The phone is equipped with a glyph interface on the back profile, featuring more LEDs to deliver a better visual countdown and progress tracker during the ride.
Nothing has made a major upgrade in terms of the processor, as the Nothing Phone (2) comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Nothing Phone (1) boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G+ 5G chipset.
This new generation smartphone from the company has Nothing OS 2.0 with a refined layout and features. It also gets a dual camera setup, as seen in the predecessor, which has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a Sony IMX890 sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor. Pei also said that the new mobile from the company is backed by an 18-bit Image Signal Processor (ISP), capturing 4,000 times more details and information than the ISP offered in the predecessor.
It has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 selfie camera placed on the center of the mobile to deliver an identical design and overall look. The front camera supports up to 1080P video or reel recording at 60fps. Moreover, the new offering from this London-based smartphone manufacturer packs a 4,700mAh battery capable of getting charged from 0% to 50% in just 20 minutes through a fast charger.
As it was already rumored that the phone would be priced at around Rs 40,000 in the Indian market, Nothing Phone (2) Price in India is set at Rs 44,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant while the upper variants, 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, are priced at Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively.
