Nokia brand licensee HDM Global has launched a new smartphone in India called Nokia G60 5G. As the name suggests, the device supports 5G connectivity which is being gradually rolled out to users in select circles. The phone also comes with Android 12, and the company promises three years of software updates. This is very good when you look at the competition in this space as opposed to Nothing Phone (1) most competitors give 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches promise.
Nokia G60 5G is a dual SIM smartphone and supports eSIM technology. From November 1st to 7th, it will be available for pre-order in India on Nokia's official website and major retailers. The company says that for a limited time it is offering free Nokia Wired Buds worth Rs 3,599. The Nokia G60 5G is available in Black and Ice colours for Rs 29,999 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage options.
Both appearance and structure have the main body and the back has a star-shaped pattern to attract young customers. The Nokia G60 5G features a flat design instead of the traditional bulky look, a bit like the iPhone 12 series.
The Nokia G60 has a sizeable 6.5 inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution (1080x2400 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display sports a dated waterdrop-style notch and offers a standard brightness of 400, which is standard for phones in this range. The notch also houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 695.
On the back of the Nokia G60 5G is a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera is housed in a circular notch. The smartphone also packs a 4500mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. It's not the fastest charging tech available for a smartphone in this price range, but it works well enough. Other key features include Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5 mm jack, a Type-C port and dual-band WiFi.
