Sony's ULT Wear is a bass-heavy headset from the ULT series, which just debuted in India. It costs Rs 16,990 and has 40mm drivers and neodymium magnets. It has Bluetooth 5.2 wireless communication and a wired alternative via a 3.5mm port. Sony's party-ready Tower 10 speaker includes karaoke, ULT Field speakers and the ULT Wear.

The Sony ULT Wear headphones are made of quality plastic and have a metal headband and plush padding for added comfort. It's available in traditional black, white, and forest grey, with a velvety ear pad that fits most ears. However, the ear cushion material may retain heat in warm weather, which is a typical problem with many headphones nowadays. The headphones are easy to use, but their style is basic and clean. They fold up for simple storage in a cloth carrying case, making them perfect for travel or bagging.
The Sony ULT Wear has three customisable buttons on the left earcup: power and battery, active noise cancellation, and a special ULT button for bass control. This button switches between three ULT settings to modify bass levels to your liking.
The Sony Headphones Connect app enables users to personalise touch-sensitive earcups for music listening, allowing them to modify settings and experiment with different modes. The ULT Wear also has Quick Attention Mode, which allows users to pause music and adjust the volume simply laying their hand on the earcup, enabling ambient noises to be heard.
The ULT Wear has multi-device connection, allowing for easy pairing with phones, computers, and televisions. Even while moving around the room, Bluetooth communication stays robust. Additional features include Spotify Tap for rapid access and hands-free speech assistant integration with Google Assistant and Alexa, however Siri is not supported.

The ULT Wear are bass-heavy headphones that offer powerful and intense bass. They are ideal for fans of pop, K-pop, Bollywood, and hip-hop. It brings music to life with a wide soundstage and a closed-back design that produces a sense of immersion, making it feel like the music surrounds you from all directions. It also has a dedicated ULT button for further bass boost.
The ULT Wear is a flexible bassphone that works well with pop, K-pop, Bollywood oldies, and hip-hop music. Its customisable bass sound may be improved with the accompanying app's equaliser. Indoor calls provide good audio and strong background noise reduction, whereas outside calls may be muffled. However, wired mode has several restrictions, such as Bluetooth disconnecting and a disabled ULT bass boost button.

The ULT Wear's ANC function provides passive noise isolation and an immersive listening experience, ideal for shutting out distractions such as office talk. It may even be used without music to create a relaxing environment. The accompanying app has an ambient sound mode, which allows users to manage external noises like voices, traffic, or total noise cancellation, giving them complete control over their auditory environment.
The ULT Wear has a battery life of 7-8 days, assuming 2-3 hours of use each day. Charging with USB-C takes three hours. Power-saving features such as auto-pause and auto-off extend battery life. ANC and ULT boost modes drain more quickly.
Sony's ULT Wear headphones have strong bass and customisable features, making them excellent for pop, K-pop, Bollywood, and hip-hop music. They also have active noise cancellation (ANC) and a lengthy battery life. The comfy design and Quick Attention Mode improve the listening experience. For those looking for bass, ANC, and a long battery life in a headset that costs around Rs 20,000, the Sony ULT Wear is an excellent pick.
