Infinix typically specialises in low-cost smartphones, and it recently debuted the Hot 20 5G in India. The phone offers a tonne of useful functions and capabilities. I can clearly see that Infinix invested a lot of time and effort into creating this affordable 5G phone.

Infinix Hot 20

It comes equipped with a 50MP primary camera, a 120Hz IPS display, and a MediaTek Dimensity 810 CPU. The phone has a lovely style and offers adequate performance for the price. Additionally, the primary camera captures respectable images in natural light.

A 5000mAh battery powers the phone and provides a reliable battery backup of around two days with light usage. It all seems too amazing to be true for a phone that costs Rs 12,000!

Infinix Hot 5G Price in India

Infinix Hot 20 5G available, and it costs Rs. 11,999 in India. The phone has 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM.

There are three colour options available: Racing Black, Blaster Green, and Space Blue. Only Flipkart is a source for purchasing the phone.

Design

The rectangular camera island, which is located on the upper left, contains the two lenses and an LED flash. Yes, it does stick out a little amount, which is why the phone wobbles when set down on a flat surface. Because the edges are flatter, they provide a strong grip.

The phone feels excellent in the hand, but it could be a little heavier. This is a result of the phone's 204-gram weight, which makes it quite clumsy.

Speaking of ports and buttons, the right side contains a power button that also functions as a fingerprint scanner, along with volume controls. The SIM card tray is located on the left side, while the top is uncluttered. On the bottom side, there is the USB-C port, speaker grill, mic and 3.5 mm audio jack.

Display

The FHD+ 6.6-inch IPS LCD display on the Infinix Hot 20 5G has a good resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has a peak brightness of 500 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. For indoor use, the display is fairly bright, however, when you go outside, the issue arises.

In the bright daylight, it was difficult to read the text and icons. You should keep your phone in your pocket and out of the sun, in my opinion. Leaving that aside, the 120Hz refresh rate significantly contributes to the overall smoothness of the experience. Regarding the display's quality, it is fairly clear, crisp, and vibrant.

Not to mention, it supports Widevine L1 so you can access premium content on OTT services like Netflix and Prime Videos. It does not, however, support HDR, which is somewhat disappointing. Overall, Infinix has provided a fantastic display for using multimedia.

Performance

Infinix has taken precautions to maintain performance parity. A MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, power the Infinix Hot 20 5G. You also get the MemFusion feature, which uses internal storage to add an additional 3GB of RAM, bringing the total RAM up to 7GB.

One of the greatest chipsets available at this pricing point is the Dimensity 810 SoC, which is a reliable SoC. It's incredible that Infinix was able to squeeze this CPU inside a phone for only $12,000. Typically, this chipset is seen in phones costing up to $15,000. I would definitely recommend Infinix.

Yes, I did occasionally experience some lags and frame drops. But altogether, I had a fun and pleasurable time playing the games. Additionally, XAreana, a mode specifically designed for gaming, allows you to reject incoming calls, block incoming notifications, and optimise game graphics, among other things.

The XOS skin, which is based on Android 12, is used by the Infinix Hot 20 5G. The phone offers a tonne of customization options and functions. On the other hand, the phone comes with a tonne of pre-installed apps from third parties. While you can remove the majority of them, some of them, like Theme, My Health, XArena, Phone Master, and others, cannot be removed.

Camera

The back of the Infinix Hot 20 5G has a twin camera configuration. This has an AI lens in addition to a 50 MP primary camera. For selfies, the typeface contains an 8MP camera. So, does it produce any quality images? Well, sort of, it does.

Infinix Hot 20 camera

beginning with the primary camera. In excellent lighting, the 50MP lens does appear to produce high-quality images. The photographs were sharp and had good levels of detail. However, I believe the colours and dynamic range could have been improved.

But as the light fades, the visual quality suffers. Simply said, the photographs taken in low light were poor. The photos had a lot of noise, and the colours were faded. For such situations, there is a special Super Night setting, although it simply overexposes the photographs without improving the details.

Speaking of videos, both the front and back cameras are capable of recording 1080p footage at 30 frames per second. The recordings were rather unsteady despite the good quality. No steady video recordings may be anticipated. Overall, the Infinix Hot 20 5G's camera is decent for the money and will be more than sufficient for the ordinary user.

Battery

The 5000mAh battery on the Infinix Hot 20 5G is sizable and provides solid battery life. When I say you can easily get a full day of battery life even with heavy usage, I mean that the battery backup is good. If you use alcohol infrequently, you can worry-free prolong that to the second day.

A 5000mAh battery should provide roughly 6 hours of screen time, which is what I experienced. I used it to navigate around social media, play games, watch Netflix shows, and take pictures.

When it comes to charging, the phone has 18W of support for fast charging. To fully charge the phone from 0% to 100%, the 18W fast charger needs roughly two and a half hours. The battery will be charged to roughly 60% after an hour.

The brand made a wise choice by including the fast charger in the box, despite the fact that charging the phone takes some time.

Infinix Hot 20 5G verdict

The Infinix Hot 20 5G is a high-quality smartphone for the money. Right now, it offers 5G connectivity, reliable performance, long battery life, a sizable 120Hz display, and much more. It also has everything you could possibly want in a budget phone.

My day-to-day performance was flawless, and I had no problems. Instead of an IPS panel, Inifinix could have utilised an AMOLED one. Apart from that, Given that they employed a 50MP sensor, I believe the camera performance could have been much better.
